Parents of teenagers: keeping the dialogue going
La Maison de la Parentalité, Montrouge
Friday 27 November · 18:30–20:00
Organised by Maison de la parentalité
About
In adolescence, the relationship between parents and children changes. The teenager gains independence, "pulls away" and exchanges become less frequent, sometimes more complicated, disagreements more common, and it is not always easy to find one's place as a parent. How can you better understand what your teenager is going through? How can you find the right balance between listening, trust and boundaries? How can you keep communicating despite tensions? Through discussions and reflections on adolescence, family values and different parenting approaches, this workshop invites parents to step back from their relationship with their teen and explore ways to keep the dialogue going and preserve the bond. A friendly get-together, over a few treats to share, to talk freely and without judgement about the small and big challenges of parenting in adolescence.
