Stéphanie, from Grenoble, and Giovanni, who has travelled from Mexico, meet for the first time at their father's funeral. Each thought they were an only child. They discover they are half-brother and half-sister, and piece together their shared story through the recipes in their father's notebook, the only inheritance left behind. But that evening, you are not just there to watch. Members of the audience, equipped with smartphones, become the living chorus of this story to be played out and savoured together. We taste, we play, we laugh. The boundary between stage and auditorium vanishes completely. Jean Boillot, director of La Spirale company, creates theatre that shakes up conventions. You no longer really know whether you are an audience member or an actor. And that is precisely the whole charm of the experience.
