About
Tell us about yourself and your career. I was a television journalist for about ten years in the early 2000s, before turning to subtitling for the deaf and hard of hearing. The image has always been at the heart of my career, and photography came to me naturally, at the crossroads of my profession and the personal. In 2021, I returned to training at the École des Gobelins in Paris. It was a decisive step that allowed me to go further in my photography and image retouching practice. Today, I devote myself fully to creation, and I have recently launched my online gallery: kigam.fr. Why Kigam? Quite simply because, read backwards, it spells "magique"! How would you describe your work? My work, whether in colour or black and white, invites us to read between the lines of reality. I love playing with material, light and the boundary between the visible and the imaginary. The colourisation and the EXPOSITION work I carry out on images do not transform them but reveal them. Each photo is a captured moment that gives me intense joy, and which I hope to pass on to those who take the time to discover them. The exhibition visitors will find at the Médiathèque is called « Au bouleau ! Pourquoi ?
